Have they even seen the cartoons

It would be nice if all the muslims around the world took a look at the cartoons that they are blindly protesting against.

Because the message of the cartoons is being reinforced around the world by the protesters.

Muhammud's turban is a bomb. Muhammed turning away martyrs from heaven's gate, telling them there are no more virgins left.

Why haven't muslims looked at the cartoons, and asked themselves why these are the predominant opinions peopole have of Islam.

There must be a reason that that western culture equates islam and muhammad with terrorism, and not peace. It would behoove Islam to take an introspective look at the message the west is sending with these cartoons, instead of reinforcing the stereotypes these cartoons took a playful jab at.

sheesh. when did you get all political? Are you kidding, by the way? There are plenty of things it would behoove arabs to be introspective, and I'm not talking about their lack of personal hygiene taking a shower.

The reason why they're not introspective is because they don't think they're wrong.

They have no sense of irony because to them, there is nothing ironic about protesting, burning, and killing in response to an injustice they cannot perceive as ridiculous.

This utter lack of sophistication or desire to see things from another viewpoint is what make arabs so demonstrably dangerous.

Air, now you're trying to put logic into the minds of the irrational. You should know better than that. Never let a little thing like logic and reason get in the way of some good blood shed. Besides, it has nothing to do with the cartoons. This has all the evidence and trademark of a planned world wide event a la Intifada II.

This was just the excuse to set them off. The easiest way to see that this is true is the timing. Ask yourself, why they're protesting these cartoons now when they came out over 4 and a half months ago? Then, ask yourself why the entire Muslim world waited to protest until AFTER the Danish Immam had gone to every Muslim country, showing them these cartoons? On top of that, if any picture of Muhammad is forbidden, why would these Immam taken the time to bring and show cartoons that were never published? Cartoons that are for more repugnant than the ones actually published. They say it has nothing to do with portraying Muhammad in a negative way, just that he was drawn, which they claim is forbidden. If that's the case, why attempt to inflate the situation by showing cartoons that were never seen?

No-one in the media seems to want to dig any deeper since that might take actual thought. Yeah, the riots in France were only a symptom of the poor Muslim communities. Yeah, don't mention the fact that the Immam of said community has called for his people to force the government to give them a sovereign sect in France, where they could enforce Sha'aria. Nope, nothing about that. So, everyone wants to say that this whole mess is all about cartoons from Europe. So, why are these Arab countries blaming Israel for them, and having a contest to see who can come up with the best anti-semetic and holocaust denial cartoon? Wouldn't they be drawing cartoons against Europe? Nah, it's too complicated to ask those questions.

SW: "you just articulated all that is wrong with the world!"

AT: "my comment or my post?"

your comment. politics are generated by people that would prefer to talk than to do. If we'd all just get to writing the cheese man, there'd be less time for politics and political strife in the world.

Cheese man is god!
