Getting Closer

We finally have an aliyah date from Nefesh B'Nefesh. We are going to be moving on July 5, on NBN's first flight of the summer. That's less than eight weeks away.

Woo hoo. That's pretty close. It's about this time that the people who you have been telling for two years that you are making aliyah begin to start asking you, "Are you really making aliyah?"

I bet before you leave that America will send you off with a big fireworks show. ;-)

Wow! That's awesome! Mazal Tov. Does it feel that much more real now that you have an official date? I know you have the house up for sale and the place where you'll be living here, but now you have that official date that you know you're leaving. That's got to be exciting.

Thanks all y'all. I was counting the days on my calendar and I think it was 55. Made me feel like I was counting down days until the zman ended in my yeshiva days.

It definitely feels more real as we are getting closer to it.

Make sure that someone posts the "departure"/aliyah pics on onlysimchas.com.

I'm happy for you and your family, and only wish you the best of luck and an easy transition.

you can still delay this.
israel is really not a good place to be right now.
the economy is bad, the education is worse, security is lax, and the national spirit is depressed and getting ever moreso.

i recommend waiting at least 2-3 years minimum before you try this.

i beg of you,
do not do this thing!

anonymous, you crackhead.
Israel has a better economy now then it has for the past decade. Ynet Article.

The time to come is now to help encourage economic growth, raise morale and contribute to the success of the country.
