Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has turned down a request by PETA to declare the state fish off-limits to fishing. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, based in Norfolk, had asked Pawlenty to protect the walleye pike from anglers. But in a response, Pawlenty said PETA should "stay out of Minnesota's proud fishing lifestyle."
The governor's statement added that because of PETA's letter, Pawlenty planned to go out for a walleye dinner.

Um don't people in government posta like that have to be friendly and civil to all people and causes?That doesn't seem very civil at all.But I do agree with him.
Pittsburgh just hosted a huge bass fishing event, and PETA bougha billboard that ha d apicture of a dog witha hook in its mouth, and teh caption said, if you wouldnt do it to a dog, why do it to a fish.
It was pretty funny.

The other day at a KFC out west (I think Wyoming), PETA had a protest regarding how the KFC corporation treats chickens before killing them. Around ten protesters were there. Meanwhile, the franchise had one of their best lunch crowds ever. One customer had a great line which I paraphrase: "Every animal has his place in this world. The chicken's place is next to the potato salad."
Wait a minute.Just because we feel that animals,including chickens,are made for our pleasure and purposes,does NOT mean that they can be tortured and hurt before they are killed.PETA alleges that KFC boils the chickens to get the feathers off,WHILE THEY ARE STILL ALIVE!!!
