For Our Son's Former Girlfriend

ArandVee's Potato Kugel

6 eggs
1 large onion - quartered

Process above with blade attachment of food processer. Remove to large bowl.

7-8 potatoes

Process potatoes. Add to large bowl and mix immediately.

Lots of salt
Lots of pepper
2 tsp. bread crumbs or matza meal
1/2 c. oil

Add above to mixture in bowl. Mix well. (Air uses his hands.) Taste to make sure there is enough salt. (Potatoes eat salt.)

Paprika - sprinkle over top.

Bake at 350 uncovered for 1 1/2 hours. If you use a Pyrex pan, you should check the bottom to make sure it's browned. Otherwise, take your chances.

Yaptchik (or Potato Kugel Cholent)

Take raw potato kugel mixture and pour half in bottom of crock pot. Flatten out. Add cholent meat in a layer. Pour remaining half of potato mixture on top. Sprinkle paprika over top. Bake at 350 uncovered for an hour and a half. Take knife and stab kugel twice. Add enough water to cover plus about half an inch. Put pot into crockpot on low. Enjoy 24 hours later, or so.

Where do you get off naming the Kugel ArandVee's Potato Kugel? What if, say, we get divorced, and then what will hapen to the Kugel's name?

Some commentor was right; we can't name the kugel after living people.

Suggestions were KILF (A bit disturbing, but hey, some people like baked goods, other people like kugel), Bitchin Potato Kugel, and some others that I can't remember right now.

OK, Dear, let Gebrec and Aviva decide what to call it for CL and then we'll have a name.

Of course, if they keep it Arandvee, they might have some confusion as to whose it really is.

And we can't get a divorce. I'd be sad. So let's stay together forever.

I like KILF but I am (unfortunatelu) not ready to make immediate aliyah once thrown out of this city.
Same for the second suggestion, might turn some beards gray real quick.
Ar and vee granted might confuse a few folks and will be contested by Ar over living people naming rights.
But might force him not to consider divorce over niot being up to a copyright lawsuit of the name.
hmmm........
Need to throw this back at you and the readers - I would like to submit both....
Send me a name!

Veev- thanx soo much. It is in oven as I tpype this. To be honest at first I had my doubts. I am not used to using so many eggs, and it seemed to be sagging in the middle... But as it cooks it is looking better and better. I did have to substitute bread crumbs for potato starch... so that will be a variable. Like air said in an IM convo, I understand that if the kugel comes out bad, I'll have to take a good look in the mirror.
