They may as well go to sleep
Last night, Veev went to sleep early, after coming home from Israel. At 8:40, all three kids were still awake. But I needed to run out and get some dinner, and then go to my shuir.
I listened to all their complaints for one last time, told them I was leaving, and if there was an emergency they could wake up their mother, but I would not be home for quite some time.
I picked up my food, and had time to stop by the house before my shuir. When I walked in, about fifteen minutes after telling the kids I would be gone for a while, they were all sleeping.
Which should just remind me that when they think there is no hope of extending bed time and talking and complaining, they fall asleep.

Thanks for letting me sleep the 11 hours I needed, Hon...
Sorry - it takes my kids alot longer than 15 minutes...think "energizer bunny"
Kol HaKavod for taking care of the kids; I did it last year with 6 kids, and it wasn't easy!
Jameel - I hope some of them were old enough to take care of themselves.
great, veev.
so, after a vacation in sunny israel sans kids, you come home and still complain that you might have to take care of your own progeny in case of emergency.
i love it.
AirTime: Old enough...tough call. Last night our oldest was supposed to babysit when we went to a Bar Miztva. Came home to see him watching TV, and the kids weren't showered, homework not finished...and he FOUND the TV viewing smartcard.
I wish we could get rid of the TV. That's my next mega-project.
Careful Jameel - you don't want to get rid of the bbysitter too quickly.
air-time: yeah, but its my oldest who acts as the babysitter...
In any event, we still have wireless computers with web access.

I wasn't being sarcastic in my comment. I was honestly grateful that Air let me sleep by telling the kids not to bother me because of the jet-lag.
Now I remember why I stop writing here....
Veev, you should really have air get rid of the ability to put on anonymous comments. This guy always comes here to jerk your chain. You shouldn't have to put up with it.

Veev: You really need a way of keeping OC from posting the same comment 3 times in a row. You shouldn't have to put up with it.

Thanks for the support, ya'll. I don't what I did to Anon in a previous life to make him/her hate me so much! He/she always takes issue with my relationship with Air. Anon doesn't realize that I am Air's biggest fan forever and for always...
How romantic! Makes me want to get my wife to blog as well ;-)
I have no idea why that comment got posted 3 times. I only clicked the publish button once.
