I don't care, it makes me laugh

There is an office building around the corner from my house. The building was originally called Crown Point, and it has a point structure on the top of it.

The Southfield Visiting Nurse Association has their office in that building, and their name is on the face of the building. At night, when it gets dark, the letters light up, so everyone driving down Lincoln or Greenfield can read the sign.

But there seems to be some lighting malfunction. For the past few days (or maybe longer, I just didn't notice), some o the letters are not lighting up, and all you can see at night is

VISITING NURSE ASS

My wife says I'm like a two year old. I don't care. I think it is funny. I think she thinks it is funny too, but it too busy trying to prove that she is not a two year old that she denies the funniness in the busted sign.

Hah! That really is funny. Is it really so immature to appreciate good humor? Like the Simpsons? Sure they're animated, but they're FUNNY!!

OK, I do think you are immature to think this is funny, but I see you are in good company. I must say, however, that some of the comments surprised me, knowing the poeple who wrote them.

If you drive down I-75 to Lousville, you pass Big Bone Park. Every sign thereafter (down to Nashville and onto New Orleans) has some sexual connotation.

Ever wonder why men (and perhaps some women) are so easily (a) amused and (b) aroused?

I know this is a really old one, but for those of you out of Detroit, if you take I-75 to Exit 69, you will get off on Big Beaver.

And they had to skip exit 68 to get that one to work out.

my dearest veev,
you are a prissy schoolteacher.
actually, you are just trying to be a prissy schoolteacher. i think that at is correct, and you are just trying to be mature, correct, adult, proper, etc. hence your introductory ht remarks about correct grammar (which you are not as good about as you would like to imagine).
as further evidence, just check recent comments, especially regarding teenage writing.
and dont forget -- you *asked* us to tell you what we think you are...

I believe I asked who I think I am. I don't give a damn who you think I am.
